At Fair Harbor, we stand behind our sustainable swimwear and want you to love every piece you purchase. If you’re not completely satisfied with your order, we’re happy to offer returns or exchanges within 15 days of receiving your items.

Our Return Policy

We accept returns and exchanges for most unworn, unwashed items with original tags attached. Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on underwear (Boxer Briefs) unless they arrive defective or damaged.

Sustainability Note: As part of our commitment to reducing waste, we encourage you to consider exchanges before opting for a return. Each return has an environmental impact through additional shipping.

How to Return or Exchange

  1. Initiate Your Return/Exchange: Email our customer care team at [email protected] within 15 days of receiving your order. Use the subject line “Return/Exchange Request” and include the following information:
    Order Number: Date Received: Items to Return/Exchange: Reason for Return/Exchange: Preferred Resolution: (Refund / Exchange for [specific item])
  2. Wait for Approval: Our team will respond within 2 business days with return instructions and an RMA number.
  3. Package Your Items: Securely pack the unworn, unwashed items with original tags in the original packaging if possible.
  4. Ship Your Return: Mail your return package to:

    We recommend using a trackable shipping method as you’re responsible for the items until they reach us.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return:

  • Timing: Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive your return.
  • Method: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal).
  • Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. For exchanges, we’ll cover the cost of shipping the replacement item to you.

Exchanges

Prefer a different size or color? We make exchanges easy:

  1. Follow the same return process above, indicating you’d like an exchange.
  2. Specify the replacement item (style, color, and size) in your email.
  3. Once we receive your return, we’ll ship your new item within 2 business days.

Note: Exchanges are subject to product availability. If your desired item is out of stock, we’ll contact you to discuss alternatives or issue a refund.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the issue. We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund and cover all return shipping costs.

International Returns

For customers outside the U.S.:

  • You are responsible for return shipping costs and any applicable customs fees.
  • We recommend marking the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional customs charges.
  • Refunds will be issued in U.S. Dollars; currency conversion differences may occur.

Our Sustainability Promise: Returned items in sellable condition are either donated to ocean conservation organizations or repurposed through our fabric recycling program. Damaged items are responsibly recycled whenever possible.
